Dallas Mavericks have signed centre Bernard James on a 10-day deal, as cover for the injured Tyson Chandler.
Chandler will miss tonight's game with the Utah Jazz due to an ankle injury he suffered in their defeat to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle hopes to have Chandler back for their game at Oklahoma City next week, but he has signed James for 10 days as a precaution.
James spent two seasons as a backup with the Mavericks before he left in October.
