Dallas Mavericks considering move for Melvin Hunt?

The Dallas Mavericks could be preparing a move to bring in former Denver Nuggets coach Melvin Hunt as an assistant to boss Rick Carlisle, according to a report in the press.

Hunt has impressed a number of NBA spectators having taken charge mid-season at Denver after the sacking of Brian Shaw, and ESPN's Marc Stein has taken to Twitter to suggest that the Mavs are looking at bringing Hunt to the American Airlines Center.

The Mavericks last claimed an NBA championship in 2011 when they beat the Miami Heat 4-2 in the Finals.
