Shawn Marion laments missed chances against San Antonio Spurs

Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion laments his side's inability to expose their chances against the San Antonio Spurs as they lose their playoff encounter on Sunday night.

Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion has lamented his side's inability to expose their chances against the San Antonio Spurs as they lost 90-85 in their playoff encounter on Sunday night.

Tim Duncan was the standout performer for the Spurs, having come back onto the court following an injury to make four of his five shots in the final quater on the way to a score of 27.

"We had a chance to open this game up and we didn't expose it," Marion admitted after the match.

"Pop [Spurs coach Gregg Popovich] called a timeout and made some critical adjustments and it worked."

The two teams will lock horns again on Wednesday as they meet for Game Two.
