Mike Dunleavy avoids suspension for foul on Michael Carter-Williams

Chicago Bulls forward Mike Dunleavy escapes a suspension for a flagrant foul on Milwaukee Bucks point guard Michael Carter-Williams.

Chicago Bulls forward Mike Dunleavy has escaped a suspension for the foul that he committed on Michael Carter-Williams in his side's victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night.

Dunleavy used both of his hands on the Milwaukee point guard's neck in game six of the first-round series between the Eastern Conference rivals, but he was not called for the foul by the on-court officials.

An NBA panel upgraded the incident to a flagrant one foul, and Dunleavy has insisted that he did not expect to face suspension.

"I'm not surprised," he told reporters "I wasn't expecting anything to happen so for that reason, no surprise on my end."

Chicago meet the Cleveland Cavaliers in game one of the Eastern Conference semi-finals on Tuesday.
