Luol Deng: 'Derrick Rose will get better'

Chicago Bulls small forward Luol Deng believes that teammate Derrick Rose is a better player than he showed during their first game of the season.

Luol Deng has said that Chicago Bulls teammate Derrick Rose is a better player than he showed in their opening game of the NBA season.

Despite a strong fourth quarter, the Bulls were beaten 107-95 by the Miami Heat, with Rose scoring four times from 15 attempts to add 12 points.

The small forward told ESPN: "This was the toughest team he could have come back against. But I've seen Derrick at his best, and I know he's better than he was. His work ethic is better. His belief in himself and in his teammates is better."

Chicago play the New York Knicks tomorrow.
