Henderson undergoes wrist surgery

The Charlotte Hornets have announced that Gerald Henderson has undergone surgery to remove scar tissue from his right wrist.

The guard had the procedure on Friday, and will have his wrist immobilised for the next two weeks before beginning rehabilitation.

The 26-year-old averaged 14 points per game during the 2013-14 NBA season, as well as four rebounds and 2.6 assists.

The Hornets, who completed their name change earlier this week, were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round.
