Jessica Ennis-Hill: 'Latest gold one of my great achievements'

Newly-crowned world heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis-Hill has claimed that her latest title is right up there with winning Olympic gold in London 2012.

The 29-year-old sealed her return to competitive action in style by amassing 6,669 points in Beijing to edge out Canada's Brianne Theisen-Eaton, who finished 115 points further back to clinch silver.

Ennis-Hill only returned to training in Autumn following the birth of her son Reggie last summer and, under the circumstances, she suggests that her success in China rivals anything else in her medal-laden career.

"It's really hard but they're definitely like that," the Briton told BBC Sport afterwards. "It's definitely one of the greatest moments of my career. I still can't believe it. I can't believe it."

Latvia's Laura Ikauniece-Admidina won bronze after finishing 38 points adrift of Theisen-Eaton.
