Tyson Gay feeling "good" ahead of the Olympics

Tyson Gay has said that his "health is good" in the build-up to the London Olympic Games and that he is not being troubled by his hip which underwent surgery in 2011.

Gay has not been at his quickest since before the Beijing Olympics, but he said that he is feeling "good" and is focusing on improving his start.

"Surgery is good," he said. "Health is good. So whatever happens happens.

"[My coach] said I am about two to three workouts away from being perfect. I'm just trying to execute the first part of my race, which I have been lacking."

Gay has never competed in an Olympics final.
