Keshorn Walcott wins javelin gold for Trinidad & Tobago

Keshorn Walcott has taken the gold medal for Trinidad & Tobago in the men's javelin final.

Walcott threw a national record 84.58m with his second attempt and took the gold medal by just seven centimetres.

Oleksandr Pyatnytsya of Ukraine took silver with his third effort of 84.51, and although he did not foul with any of his attempts he could not quite top Walcott's throw.

Antti Ruuskanen's penultimate throw of 84.12 won bronze for Finland and he was comfortably ahead of the rest of the field.
