Mo Farah beaten in 5,000m Diamond League meeting

Farah beaten over 5,000m

Olympic hero Mo Farah was beaten in the 5,000m race of the Eugene Diamond League meeting in Oregon.

Farah finished second behind Kenyan Edwin Soi, who won the race in a time of 13 minutes 4.75 seconds after out-sprinting the double Olympic champion in the final 200m.

This was the 30-year-old's first Diamond League event of the season and he chose to compete in the 5,000m instead of the 10,000m after being hit by a stomach virus.

Elsewhere, Christine Ohuruogu finished fourth in the 400m, Greg Rutherford was third in the long jump and Perri Shakes-Drayton came sixth in the 400m hurdles.
