Mo Farah wins 5000m in Lausanne on return to action

Double Olympic champion Mo Farah marks his return to action in style by winning the 5,000m at the Diamond Games in Lausanne.

Mo Farah has won the 5000m at the Diamond League in Lausanne on his first appearance since doping allegations were made against his coach Alberto Salazar.

The British athlete put off-track concerns behind him to prevail in a time of 13:11.77 and mark his first outing in six weeks in style.

It was claimed last month that Salazar encouraged doping among his athletes at the Nike Oregon Project - allegations which have seen the double Olympic champion miss a large chunk of action in order to "seek answers".

Farah, who pulled out of a Diamond League meeting in Birmingham last month, is now expected to compete in Monaco and London ahead of the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.

Yomif Kejelcha of Ethiopia finished second, meanwhile, with Kenya's Edwin Cheruiyot Soi claiming third.
