Traffic Report: Congestion expected for closing ceremony

Congestion expected for closing ceremony

London is expected to be busy throughout the day as the Olympic Games come to a close.

The closing ceremony celebrations at Hyde Park are ticket-only, so it is advised that the area is avoided by non-ticket holders as it will be extremely busy throughout the evening.

All London Underground stations are expected to be busier than usual for a Sunday and the closing ceremony is likely to see the majority of services busy until the end of the day.

Minor delays are currently being reported on the Bakerloo line but they are expected to clear in due course.

Spectators will be travelling between Greenwich Park and the Olympic Park for the modern pentathlon so the DLR will be busy throughout the day.

Roads are expected to be closed in central London for a short time after the conclusion of the men's marathon so drivers are expected to avoid the area if possible.
