Jamaica's Usain Bolt reveals that he is considering competing in either the 400m or long jump next year.

Six-time Olympic sprint gold medallist Usain Bolt has claimed that he may change events next year.

The Jamaican is currently the world record holder over both the 100m and 200m track events and the 26-year-old has suggested that he may be tempted to take on a new challenge ahead of the new athletics calender.

"It's just to find something else now to strive towards. There's a few things I've thought about," he told a sponsor's event in Tokyo

"I could try another event, maybe the long jump or the 400m. There's a few things I could try in sports I could work towards, so we'll see what I decide at the start of the season."

Despite conceding that he may change events, Bolt recently insisted that he is planning to defend his sprint titles at the 2016 Games in Rio.
