Bolt and Blake run records in Zurich

Jamaican sprinters Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake both ran meet records in Zurich this evening.

In windy and rainy conditions, Olympic champion Bolt ran 19.66s in the 200m - the fastest time ever seen in Zurich.

In the 100m, American Tyson Gay was disqualified for a false start before Blake ran 9.76s.

In the women's 100m, Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser beat Carmelita Jeter after losing to the American in two races since London.

Meanwhile, there was a surprise defeat for one Olympic champion though. 800m world-record holder David Rudisha came second after going out too quickly on the first lap.

He said afterwards: "My legs felt tired and I cannot run good if the weather is not good.

"I hoped for a fast race here and I'm a little disappointed."

The Diamond League meeting was the last event of the season for many athletes.
