Gemili: "I'm feeling in good shape"

Team England sprinter Adam Gemili is confident of winning a medal at the Commonwealth Games if he executes to the best of his ability.

The 20-year-old reached the semi-finals of the 100m as the fastest qualifier, winning his heat in a time of 10.15 seconds.

He told reporters: "I just wanted to qualify outright and the best way to do that is win your heat. I tried executing the first half of the race and then ease it down in the second half and I believe I did that.

"I'm feeling in good shape so we'll have to wait and see. It's about execution, so if I do that right, I should be good."

The semi-finals take place tomorrow at Hampden Park.
