Alison Williamson knocked out of Olympics

Alison Williamson is out of the archery tournament following a convincing victory from Mongolia's Bishindee Urantungalag.

Alison Williamson has failed in her campaign to claim a medal for Great Britain after getting knocked out in the final-32 round of the archery tournament by Bishindee Urantungalag.

The Brit settled her nerves with a 9, 10 and 8 to take the opening set and the first two points with a 27-25.

Urantungalag, who has been competing in her first ever Olympic Games, took a slow start to the contest but managed to recover in the second set with a 9, which Williamson matched instantly.

The Brit went from strength to strength after securing her second 10 in the set, but the Mongolian pro managed to equal the set to take the scoreline to 3-1 in Williamson's favour.

The British hopeful dipped slightly in the third set after claiming a seven in her first shot, which Urantungalag answered with a 10 and managed to clinch the set and equal the overall scoreline on 3-3.

Urantungalag took the lead 5-3 following the fourth set and put pressure on the the Brit, which she failed to come back from as Urantungalag wrapped up the contest.
