Nicky Hunt content with facing Naomi Folkard in women's individual first round

Nicky Hunt has admitted that there are few positives in drawing a fellow British competitor in the opening round of the women's individual event.

Hunt and Naomi Folkard - two thirds of Team GB's women's team - have been drawn together in the last 64, but Hunt has insisted that she will not overthink the contest, which will take place on Friday morning.

The 30-year-old told reporters: "The only good thing about having a teammate in your first round is that it guarantees a GB person through to the last 32.

"Archery's not a sport where we're hitting each other so we won't be trying to miss each other's punches through the next 24 hours. It's just a case of just shooting your best and what happens, happens."

Hunt, Folkard and Amy Oliver suffered a dramatic 5-3 defeat to Georgia in the women's team event on Wednesday morning.
