Cary Williams: 'We want to set the tone'

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cary Williams admits that his side want to push on from the last campaign and ready to put in the hours to achieve that in the off-season.

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cary Williams has revealed that he and his teammates want to set the tone for their 2014 campaign with solid preparation in the off-season.

The Eagles reached the wildcard round of the playoffs, but were defeated by the New Orleans Saints in the 2013 season.

Williams has revealed that the club are determined to progress in 2014 under head coach Chip Kelly.

He told the club's official website: "It's still fun [in the locker room] and we still have guys that are getting after it each and every day, trying to achieve a goal and accomplish something, that's win the Super Bowl, and it starts right here in OTA's and workouts, and everybody is excited about it and we're ready to go.

"We understand what is at stake here. We understand what is expected of us, and Chip made it out plain and simple, and it's up to us to go out and execute that each and every day. We're just preparing for the season and taking it one day at a time."

Kelly's side won the NFC East last season with a 10-6 record.
