New Orleans Saints triumph in dramatic Philadelphia Eagles clash

The New Orleans Saints defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 26-24 thanks a last-gasp field goal from Shayne Graham.

The New Orleans Saints have broken the Philadelphia Eagles hearts with a last-gasp field goal to snatch a 26-24 victory at Lincoln Financial Field.

It took until the second quarter before the first points went on the board, and it was Shayne Graham who put the Saints in front with a 36-yard field goal.

The Eagles responded through Riley Cooper, who caught a 10-yard laser from Nick Foles after the quarterback had been afforded too much time and space by the visiting defense.

Graham nailed a 46-yard kick to make it 7-6 moments before the break.

The Saints took the lead for the second time when Drew Brees found Lance Moore for a 24-yard score, and their advantage was extended when Mark Ingram dashed into the endzone from four yards.

Lesean Mccoy reduced the deficit after taking a hand-off from Foles to dart over the line before the end of the third quarter, and Alex Henery made it 20-17 with a 31-yard field goal early in the fourth.

Graham edged the Saints six points clear, but Chip Kelly's men took up the running once again when Corey White was penalised for pass interference as Foles went looking for DeSean Jackson.

That allowed the quarterback to drill a three-yard pass for Zach Ertz to touchdown for a 24-23 lead.

However, the game was decided three seconds before the end when Graham held his nerve from 32 yards to sent the Saints into the Divisional Round.

It is their first victory on the road in playoff history.
