Connor Barwin: 'I'm happy to adapt'

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin admits he is happy to play whatever role he is asked to play in the club's new defensive system next season.

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin has admitted that he doesn't mind moving his position in his side's defense next season if the club want him to.

Chip Kelly's side will be switching to a 3-4 defense next season compared to the 4-3 system they played this year, which will require the linebacker to adapt himself to playing inside or take on a different role on the outside for defensive coordinator Bill Davis.

Barwin told reporters: "It fits my skill set and I'm fine with whatever way Billy wants to use me. And who knows how it will evolve next year?

"I can see myself being in a similar role or being different. It just depends on how this defense evolves."

The 27-year-old recorded 59 tackles, five sacks and one interception in his first year with the club following his off-season move from the Houston Texans.
