Jason Avant: 'Philadelphia Eagles are over Riley Cooper incident'

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jason Avant reveals that the organisation are looking to put the Riley Cooper race scandal behind them.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jason Avant has revealed that he and his teammates are putting the race scandal involving Riley Cooper behind them.

Cooper hit the headlines after a video emerged of him uttering a racial slur at a concert in June, which sparked a furious reaction from some of the Eagles players

However, after time apart and several apologies from the 25-year-old, most of the players and staff in the organisation are ready to move on.

Avant told reporters: "Our guys are definitely over it."

Philadelphia face the New England Patriots in their pre-season opener on Thursday.
