Report: Foles to miss up to eight weeks

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles could be out of action for up to eight weeks with a fractured collarbone, according to a report.

The 26-year-old sustained the injury in the second quarter of his side's victory over the Houston Texans as he took a big hit from Whitney Mercilus.

Foles will now require a spell on the sidelines to recover, which could take as long as two months, but he won't require surgery on the problem, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Mark Sanchez will take over at quarterback after guiding the Eagles to the win over the Texans on Sunday, which could be until the end of the regular season.

The Eagles are 6-2 in their season heading into week 10 of the campaign.
