Khalil Mack determined to make impact at Oakland Raiders

Oakland Raiders linebacker Khalil Mack admits that he is ready to make an impact for the club in his rookie season after being selected fifth overall in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Oakland Raiders linebacker Khalil Mack has revealed that he is determined to make an impact at the club during his rookie season.

The Raiders picked Mack fifth overall out of the Buffalo Bulls, and he will bolster the Raiders' pass rush as they go against three playoff teams in their division in the 2014 campaign.

Mack told reporters: "That's the thing, you can say what everyone else expects but I'm a football player. I'm going to go out and play football to the best of my ability.

"When I do that, I feel that I can be impactful. Whether that's making tackles, making tackles for losses, disrupting the passer, I want to be effective. That's the way that I play."

The 23-year-old recorded 100 tackles, 10.5 sacks and three interceptions for the Bulls in the 2013 season.
