New York Giants' David Wilson not cleared for return

The New York Giants reveal that running back David Wilson is ruled not fit to return to action following an MRI scan.

The New York Giants have revealed that running back David Wilson has not been cleared to return to action following an MRI scan.

Wilson has been missing from the lineup since Tom Coughlin's side's defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles over a month ago with a herniated disk.

The Giants said in a statement on their official website: "Running back David Wilson, who has been sidelined with a herniated disc in his neck since October 6, underwent an MRI today at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.

"Wilson was also re-evaluated by team physicians Dr. Russell Warren and Dr. Frank Cammisa.

"The determination was made that while there has been significant improvement with the herniation, Wilson is still not clear to resume football activities. Wilson will undergo another evaluation in several weeks."

The Giants are 2-6 in their season going into week 10.
