Nicks: "I don't feel frustrated at all" by injury

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has revealed that he does not feel aggrieved to be missing training camp with a groin injury.

The 25-year-old has missed the start of his side's preparations for the new season, which head coach Tom Coughlin described as "frustrating".

Nicks told the New York Post: "I don't feel frustrated at all. It's only the second week of camp. Just being smart.

"I'll be back out there in a day or two. I'm just trying to protect myself from myself. I'm so competitive.

"[This is] something I would have pushed myself and pushed myself through last season."

Nicks made 53 receptions and scored three touchdowns in the 2012 season.
