New York Giants hire Ben McAdoo as offensive coordinator

The New York Giants confirm that they have hired Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Ben McAdoo as their offensive coordinator to replace the retired Kevin Gilbride.

The New York Giants have announced that they have hired Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Ben McAdoo as their new offensive coordinator.

Tom Coughlin's side were in need of a coordinator after Kevin Gilbride retired after the 2013 season, in a year where quarterback Eli Manning and his offense struggled immensely.

McAdoo was much in demand with the Miami Dolphins and the Baltimore Ravens also interested in his services, but the Giants acted swiftly to bring him to the club.

The 36-year-old was an assistant at the Packers for eight years.
