Brown targets 22-touchdown season

Andre Brown has said that he wants to score 22 touchdowns for the New York Giants during the 2013 NFL season.

The running back scored eight touchdowns in 10 games for the NFC East side in 2012, but missed the final six games of the campaign with a broken leg.

The 26-year-old told the New York Daily News: "I have to outdo last year's stats. Eight touchdowns, I want 22.

"I want 1,300 [rushing yards] this year. That's the steppingstone. I have to erase last year's stats and show I can do better.

"I can't wait to do it. Because I want to show, other than [scoring] the one-yard touchdown, I want to show more than what I have. As long as I go out there and produce and show the world my versatility, the sky's the limit."

Brown has recovered from the fracture, having been active in the Giants' voluntary workouts during the off-season.
