Keenan Lewis blown away by Brandin Cooks speed

New Orleans Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis admits that he has been overwhelmed by the speed of rookie wide receiver Brandin Cooks in his side's off-season practices.

New Orleans Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis has revealed that he has been blown away by the speed of rookie wide receiver Brandin Cooks during his side's off-season practices.

The Saints selected Cooks 19th overall in the 2014 Draft out of the Oregon State Beavers, and Lewis has admitted that the wideout has fit into life at the club immediately.

"I called him 'Lightning,'" Lewis told reporters. "A [defensive back] might be in his back pocket and the next thing you know he's 50, 60 yards down the field.

"It's always an honour to have a guy like that. Not just because of the kind of football player he is, but because he's a good person too."

Cooks recorded 226 receptions for 3,272 yards in his three years with the Beavers, scoring 24 touchdowns.
