New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has admitted that he is only bothered about winning games rather than about his own personal statistics.
The 36-year-old recorded one of his worst statistical seasons in his 14-year NFL career in the 2013 season, but still managed to guide the Patriots to within one game of the Super Bowl.
He told reporters: "You can't sit here and compare one year to another year or compare this player to that player. Winning games is the most important thing certainly for this organisation and when you come here you learn that pretty quickly.
"Whatever matters to you as an individual it's far distant from what the team goals are. And the team goal is one thing. To score more points than the other team."
Brady threw for 4,343 yards along with 25 touchdowns to 11 interceptions last season.
