Belichick: 'Jones is making progress'

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has revealed that defensive end Chandler Jones is making gradual progress in his recovery from a hip injury.

The 24-year-old has been out of action since week seven of the season when he sustained the injury in his side's victory over the New York Jets, and is reportedly in line for a return to action in three weeks.

Belichick told reporters: "He's been making progress. We'll list him weekly as we're required to do on the injury and practice notifications. Whatever he's able to do, that's the way it will be."

Jones has recorded 26 tackles and 4.5 sacks for the Patriots this season.
