Former Miami Dolphins coach Jim Turner to file defamation suit against Ted Wells

Former Miami Dolphins offensive line coach Jim Turner reveals his intention to file a defamation lawsuit against investigator Ted Wells.

Former Miami Dolphins offensive line coach Jim Turner has announced that he is preparing to launch a lawsuit against Ted Wells following his report into the bullygate scandal.

Wells was called in to investigate the Dolphins in the 2013 season amid reports that Jonathan Martin was being harassed by some of his teammates.

The report by Wells and his team of attorneys found that Turner was aware that Martin was being verbally abused by Richie Incognito along with other members of the Dolphins' offensive line.

As a result, Turner and trainer Kevin O'Neill were fired by the club, but the former coach has now signalled his intention to file a suit of defamation against Wells for the accusations he made in his report.

Wells' integrity has also been brought into question when he investigated the deflategate scandal, which resulted in heavy sanctions against the New England Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady.
