Marqise Lee confident injuries are behind him

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee is adamant that his injury problems are behind him after being selected by the club in the second round of the 2014 Draft.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee has insisted that his injury woes during his college days are behind him.

The 21-year-old was touted as a first-round pick in the 2014 Draft before the start of the 2013 season, but injury problems in his final year with the USC Trojans affected his value.

Lee was picked by the Jaguars in the second round and is confident that his troubles will not occur again now he is in the NFL.

"Most of [the injuries], I couldn't control," Lee told reporters. "I got hurt once blocking, it was just a fluky thing. Most of them were just things that I couldn't control.

"I was annoyed, but I did what I could when I was hurt — mental reps, watching teammates, encouraging them, learning from them. Little things.

"If you're competitive like I am, you prepare and you just get yourself ready for the next time up. That next time for me is now. I still got things done [when I was hurt], and I hope to get more down now."

The Jaguars finished with a 4-12 record in the 2013 season.
