Jacksonville Jaguars place Cecil Shorts on IR

The Jacksonville Jaguars have confirmed that they have placed wide receiver Cecil Shorts on their injured reserve list.

Shorts sustained a groin injury last week and as a result missed his side's defeat to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

The injury has been deemed so severe by Gus Bradley's side they have chosen to end the 25-year-old's season two games early by placing him on IR.

Shorts had caught 66 passes for 777 yards this season along with three touchdowns.
