Good morning and welcome to the live commentary of the NFL clash between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans.

Both of these sides have had disappointing seasons this year and have just pride to play for for the rest of the campaign as their playoff hopes are over and have been for some time.

The Jaguars are in rebuild mode and have been all season under new head coach Gus Bradley, who has done a decent job of guiding one of the worst rosters in the NFL to three wins out of their last four, after starting the year 0-8.

Chad Henne is not the long-term solution for the Jaguars at quarterback but has been forced to fill in after former first-round pick Blaine Gabbert seems to have fallen out of contention after three disastrous years at the club.

Even Pro Bowl running back Maurice Jones-Drew has struggled for the Jaguars this year as he averages just 3.2 yards a carry. Teams can afford to gameplan for him and for the main part have made him a non-factor this year for Bradley's side.

One of the bright spots for the Jaguars this season has been the form of wide receiver Cecil Shorts. He has three receiving touchdowns this season, which is the same amount of all the other receivers the Jaguars have in their roster. The 24-year-old also made the touchdown grab that secured his side's victory against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. He is a talent that they can build around.

This season couldn't have gone much worse for the Texans. At the start of the year they were considered challengers for the Super Bowl, but now they're in place for the number one pick in the Draft.

Defensively the numbers have been good in terms of yardage as they're still in the top two in total defense, but they're giving away lots of points. Not all of that has been on them but they look a shadow of the team that reached the Divisional Round of the AFC playoffs last year.

The problem with the Texans this season has been there offense and their turnovers. They started the campaign with Matt Schaub throwing pick-sixes in five consecutive games and TJ Yates made that six. Both of them are now out of the running at quarterback and Case Keenum has taken over. He's done a decent job in recent weeks but just hasn't got the results. Given the amount of talent the Texans have on the offensive side of the ball, it's been inexcusable.

Their defeat to the New England Patriots on Sunday summed up everything wrong with the team as they had Bill Belichick's side on the ropes but they couldn't finish them off. Last season they were 11-1 going into their game with the Pats where they were destroyed 42-14, since then they have won just four games. So Texans fans, there you have it, blame the Patriots for your problems.

Keenum has shown glimpses of talent and that maybe enough to keep him in the conversation for the starting job next season but if the Texans do get the number one pick, they will rebuild their offense by selecting a new quarterback. But Keenum still has time to prove he can be the man in Houston.

JAGUARS INACTIVES: Stanzi, Evans, Deaderick, Evans, Forsett, Burton, McClendon.

TEXANS INACTIVES: Yates, Starling, Kupper, Gardner, White, Sapp, Jamison.

No surprises the inactives lists from either side, as many players are now playing for their futures on their respective teams.

Bullock's kick is taken in the endzone for a touchback. Henne will start at the 20.

The Jaguars move the chains as Jones-Drew powers through the line for an eight-yard gain on second over right guard and on third Henne drops back for a screen to Sanders and he gets the first down and a lot more with an 11-yard reception to the Jags' 39.

The Jaguars get another first down as Joseph is penalised for holding Short as he tried to get past him on a streak route down the left sideline.

Jones-Drew gets the handoff again on two carries and churns right up the middle of the line as gains four yards on first and bounces off two tackles to get nine yards on second to move his side to the Houston 43.

Henne drops back but feels the pressure from behind and escapes the pocket by running down the middle of the field for a 14-yard gain before he slides down.

Todman gets the carry this time for the Jags as he takes the ball over the left side of the line and cuts back when he gets to the sideline and manages to get a first down with a 14-yard carry, moving his side inside the redzone.

The Jaguars should have a touchdown but Brown drops Henne's pass in the endzone under pressure from Joseph, but the Jags get a first down anyway after Jones-Drew churns out four yards over the right side of the line and then Henne makes a good throw on third to Brown to move the chains.

TOUCHDOWN JAGUARS!

The Jaguars take the lead as Henne fires a one-yard strike to his tight end Marcedes Lewis on a fade route and he makes a good grab leaping in the air to bring the ball in for the score over Joseph in coverage.

Martin returns the kickoff from Scobee to the Houston 22 but a penalty on the Texans moves them back to their 14.

Keenum escapes the pocket and drills the ball over the middle of the field to Hopkins who makes a grab at the 27 for a 12-yard reception after Tate got the handoff on first and earned four yards through the middle.

The Jaguars bring the blitz on third and six as Posluzny comes through the line unblocked and hits Keenum who just gets the ball away but his pass falls incomplete, Tate got the only yardage on the second down with a four-yard carry. Lechler's punt is taken to the Jaguars 27 by Sanders where Henne will start.

A penalty on Rackely stops a first down conversion as he is guilty of holding, that puts them back to second and 14 but Henne gets 10 of those yards back but on third his pass to Sanders falls incomplete. Anger's punt is downed at the Houston 22.

The Texans move the chains as Tate gets three carries on first he churns out seven yards, then comes back on second with two more, on third he burst right through the line to get the first down with a tough three-yard carry.

Another first down for Houston as Dennis Johnson this time gets six yards and first and then Andrew Johnson does extremely well to gets six yards out a screen pass from Keenum, as the Jaguars swarmed around him but couldn't bring him down before the first down marker.

SACK! Keenum goes down as Davis gets to him in the pocket and knocks the ball out of his hand but the quarterback manages to gather for a six-yard loss on third down. That forces Lechler to punt and his kick is taken to the Jags' 19 by Sanders.

The Jaguars move the chains at the end of the quarter as Henne fires downfield to Lewis and he makes an excellent grab taking the ball off the helmet of Sharpton in tight coverage and he runs with it to the Houston 45 for a 41-yard reception.

END OF FIRST QUARTER: Houston Texans 0-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars move further downfield with the aid of a pass interference penalty as Henne drops back and fires a deep pass down the seam for Shorts and he is tripped up at the Houston 12 by Joseph for a 33-yard gain.

TOUCHDOWN JAGUARS!

The Jaguars extend their lead as Henne fires a six-yard strike in the endzone to Shorts for a score on a out route in the corner as he made a good move to beat the coverage of Joseph on third down. Great stuff from the home side so far.

Scobee kicks the ball out of the endzone and the Texans will start at their 20.

Keenum gets the first down on his own as he rushes for 12 yards on third down as he saw space down the middle of the field and sprinted to the 30 before sliding down, after an incompletion and a two-yard loss from Tate had made it third and long.

The Texans are penalised several times on the drive as a personal foul backs them up to third and 19, then a false start makes it third and 24. On third down, Keenum is forced to scramble at the Jags bring the heat and he just throws the ball into the ground. From Lechler's punt the fair catch is called for by Sanders but he is interfered with by Mack and that costs his side another 15 yards, moving the Jags to the Houston 41.

The Jaguars go three an out as Henne is forced to scramble on third and 15 following a false start penalty and he just throws the ball away. Anger's punt is fair caught at the eight by Martin.

Keenum gets time in the pocket and he drills the ball down the seam for his tight end Graham and he makes a catch and run for 22 yards to move his side to the 32.

The Texans overcome a holding penalty that set them back to second and 16 to get a first down at their 45. Keenum fired over the middle to Posey for nine yards on a hitch route and then Andre Johnson on a crossing route for nine yards to move the chains.

Keenum keeps the Texans moving as he fires to Graham on a short out route to the right sideline and he gets 15 yards moving his team into Jaguars territory.

Another short pass from Keenum as he hits Griffin on a hitch route over the middle of the field and it's enough for 10 yards to move the chains to shift his side to the Jaguars' 32.

This time a penalty comes to the aid of the Texans as Andre Johnson is felled as he attempts to go for the ball from Keenum by Ball and the officials throw a flag for pass interference for a seven-yard penalty moving them to the 25.

Tate gets the carry over the left side of the line for the Texans and moves them to the 13 with a nine-yard carry. A score is a must for the Texans here.

Tate gets the carry and churns four yards through the middle of the line to leave his side with a second and six at the two-minute warning at the Jags' nine.

TOUCHDOWN TEXANS!

Keenum drops back in the pocket and drills the ball to Martin in the endzone for the eight-yard score as he beats the coverage of Harris before Cyprien can get over to him.

The Jaguars will start at the 20.

The Jaguars go three and out as a holding penalty erases a first down run by Henne and he can't get the yardage back as a short throw to Shorts only goes for six yards on third and 20. Martin fields Anger's punt at the Houston 35 but gets knocked back to the 32 by McCray.

INTERCEPTION JAGUARS!

Keenum makes an awful throw looking for Andre Johnson down the sideline and Ball jumps the route and makes the grab for the pick meaning the Jaguars will take over at their 41.

Henne takes a shot deep on first down and his throw arcs over the two safeties of the Texans and Shorts is behind them but he just can't make the grab for the catch as it slips through his hands.

OH BOY! Just when you think the Texans can't get any worse they do as after breaking up a third down play, Swearinger taunts the Jaguars and hands them a first down.

OH BOY, OH BOY! It's gets worse for the Texans and Swearinger as he holds back Lewis and cancels out an interception from Pleasant that hands the Jaguars another first down and moves the five yards downfield.

The Jaguars bounce back from taking a sack on second down as Jones-Drew races through the middle of the line on a draw play moving his side into field goal range and now Scobee will attempt a 40-yarder.

FIELD GOAL GOOD!

Scobee's kick sails between the posts and the Jaguars now have a 10-point lead at the break, thanks to Swearinger.

Scobee kicks off and squibs it to Crick and time runs out as the defender gathers the ball.

HALF-TIME: Houston Texans 7-17 Jacksonville Jaguars

That was one strange half of NFL action as the Jaguars lead at the break by 10 points but it could have been oh so much more as the Texans have been awful. Their discipline has been appalling as they've been flagged 10 times for 115 yards, that is incredible.

The Jags have played some decent football and their offense has put together some good drives as Jones-Drew looks back to somewhat of his old self and Henne has been on the money with a lot of his throws. He got away with an interception at the end of the half and a sack, but if he continues this form, he may have done enough to secure his place on a roster next year.

Scobee's kick goes out of bounds before the endzone so the Texans will start at their 40.

The Texans move the chains as Yates fires to Andre Johnson on a slant route and he beats the coverage from Gratz to haul the ball in for a 14-yard gain before he gets brought down at the Jags' 40.

The Texans can't sustain their drive as Keenum throws two incompletions deep for Johnson and then short to Martin forcing the punt from Lechler, which takes a friendly bounce and is downed at the Jacksonville four-yard line, where Henne will begin.

Jacksonville can only move the ball seven yards as on third and 11 Henne drills the ball to Shorts on a hitch route and he is tackled before the first down marker by the swarming defense of the Texans. Anger punts and Martin collects and returns the ball to the Jacksonville 46.

Keenum goes short to Andre Johnson again as he finds him on a curl route and the receiver stops in the zone coverage catches the ball and turns to run at the defense and he gets to the 20 before he's hauled down for a 25-yard reception.

The Texans can't get the ball into the endzone as Keenum launches the ball downfield to Hopkins but he can't make the grab for the touchdown as he can't keep his feet in bounds on third down. That will leave Bullock with a 34-yard field goal attempt.

FIELD GOAL GOOD! Texans 10-17 Jaguars

Bullock makes no mistake firing his kick through the posts to make it a seven-point game.

A penalty on the Jags will force them to start at the 12 following Todman's return.

The Jaguars get a break on third down as Joseph is flagged for pass interference on Sanders handing the home side another set of downs and a two-yard gain.

Jones-Drew is in business as he reels off a huge run for the Jaguars as he finds space over the right side of the line, he looks like he's going to be stopped but he powers through the tackle of Keo getting over midfield before he finally gets downed at the Houston 34 for a 48-yard run.

Swearinger's night gets even worse as he is penalised for the third time as he grabs the facemask of Todman as he tries to bring him down and that gives the Jags 15 more yards and moves them to the 19.

TOUCHDOWN JAGUARS!

The Jaguars go further ahead with the aid of a brilliant trick play as Henne throws the ball backwards to Sanders on a would-be screen but because the pass is backwards it gives the chance to the receiver to throw, and he throws deep over the right side of Todman who he hits in stride over Swearinger for the 19-yard touchdown. Brilliant invention from the Jags.

The Texans will start at their 20.

The Texans go three and out as Keenum throws two incompletions on first and second under pressure from the Jaguars front four and on third and 10 he throws short for Andre Johnson who can only get four yards before he's brought down. Lechler punts to Sanders, who takes the ball to the Jags' 38.

Jacksonville respond with a three and out of their own as Sanders gets nothing on a endaround and a short pass for two yards on third, forcing the punt from Anger which is collected at the Houston 32.

Matt Schaub replaces Case Keenum at quarterback for the Texans.

Schaub gets his side in the dangerzone already as he fires down the middle for Hopkins on a post route and he makes the catch and sprints to the 20 for a 47-yard reception.

Two more short passes from Schaub move the chains again as he goes short to Martin for three yards and then hits Graham on a hitch route for seven to move the Texans to the Jacksonville 12.

TOUCHDOWN TEXANS!

Schaub gets his side into the endzone as he fires to Graham on a slant route as the tight end beats the man coverage of Cyprien for the five-yard score on third down. Again we have a seven-point game as Bullock kicks the extra point.

Todman returns the ball to the 31 where Henne will start.

The quarter ends as Henne runs on third and 10 and he manages to get nine yards before he gets dropped by Jackson and Reed just short of the marker, after a false start penalty backed up the Jags five yards on first and Jones-Drew got it back to third and 10 with a five-yard run on second.

END OF THIRD QUARTER: Houston Texans 17-24 Jacksonville Jaguars

Henne tries to draw the Texans offside on fourth and one but they don't bite and they are penalised with a delay of game penalty that sets them back five yards. Anger punts to the Houston 32.

Schaub fires to Andre Johnson again for eight yards and then goes back to his tight end Graham for five over the middle of the field on a crossing route to move the chains at the Houston 45.

Schaub fires to Johnson who sits in the zone and then turns to run at the defense and manages to get a 22-yard gain to move his side to the Jacksonville 33. The quarterback is getting it done.

The Texans go three and out as Schaub's pass to Johnson hits the ground but for some reason he picks it up anyway and runs into the endzone. The official signals for a touchdown but is immediately corrected by his colleagues, then on second and third Schaub can't connect with Johnson and then Hopkins. They're going to go for it on fourth down after a 12 men on the field penalty negated a missed field goal.

Schaub connects with Martin to get the first down with a strike for 14 yards to move his side to the Jacksonville 14 on an out route.

A holding penalty sets the Texans back 10 yards after Schaub moved them to the five-yard line, but he still manages to put them into field goal range with a short completion to Johnson for 11 yards down to the Jacksonville 13. That will leave Bullock with a 31-yarder.

FIELD GOAL GOOD! Texans 20-24 Jaguars

Bullock makes no mistake firing the ball through the posts to make it a four-point game.

The Jags will start at the 20.

The Jags move the chains as Henne dumps the ball off to Jones-Drew on a screen pass and he gets 15 yards up the right side before he gets dropped at the Jacksonville 35.

A poor pass from Henne costs his side on third and nine as underthrows Sanders and stops him from getting the first down as he's forced to reach behind him to make the grab for eight yards just short of the marker. Anger's punt sails into the endzone and Schaub will start at the 20.

Schaub's dissection of the Jaguars defense continues as he fires a deep slant route to Hopkins for 14 yards at the Houston 40 after firing for six yards to Graham on a short hitch route on first.

Schaub throws deep to Andre Johnson on an incut over the middle of the field and he makes the grab into his body before he's immediately dropped at the Jacksonville 46 for an 11-yard reception.

Schaub and Johnson's connection continues as the receiver peels off down the right sideline on a curl route and he makes the snag on third and three to move the chains at the Jacksonville 39.

Schaub makes an incredible throw on third and 20 to bounce back from taking a sack on second for a 10-yard loss as he connects with Johnson for a 21-yard gain to move his side to the Jacksonville 21.

Tate gets eight yards on first down but the Texans get stopped on second and third as Posluszny comes through the line and drops Tate for a loss on third to leave Houston with a big decision on whether to go for it on fourth down and two at the Jags' 12.

The Texans opt to go for it on fourth down!

The Jaguars make the stand as Schaub throws an incompletion looking for Graham over the middle of the field, after he scrambled to his right. He had Andre Johnson open on a crossing route but never looked in his direction. A baffling decision for someone who has 13 receptions for 154 yards in this game. The Jags take over at their 12.

A massive penalty on Jackson on the Texans moves the Jaguars 38 yards to the 50 as he is guilty of pass interference against Brown as he tried to latch onto Henne's deep pass downfield. Penalty number 14 on Houston in this game.

Big play on third and 11 as the Jags can kill the game off with a third down conversion.

Henne makes a poor throw to Brown on what would have been a conversion down the left sideline but he misses the throw to the left and the receiver can't come back to the ball to make the grab.

Anger punts to the 22 where Schaub will try and win the game for the Texans with a touchdown.

INTERCEPTION JAGUARS!

What an awful throw by Schaub as he throws it right down the throat of linebacker Geno Hayes who makes the pick and runs the ball back to the 20. What an error.

The Jaguars go three and out as they can't get the first down to kill the game they will opt to take a timeout and mull over their options. They will probably go for the field goal from 39 yards to make it a seven-point game.

FIELD GOAL GOOD! Texans 20-27 Jaguars

Scobee makes no mistake from 39 yards and now Schaub will have about 20 seconds if that to get his team back in the game.

Schaub will start at the 23 following Martin's return.

SACK!! Schaub goes down under the hit from Davis as he waited an age for his receivers to get open and takes an 18-yard loss. It's game over!

FULL-TIME: Houston Texans 20-27 Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars win their third game in a row and now are on the best streak of any side in the AFC. An incredible feat after their disastrous start to the year. They move to 4-9 thanks to Matt Schaub's late interception that handed them the game.

The Texans extend their losing run to 11 games that's right 11 games. They are now 2-11 in their season and must be certs for the first pick in the 2014 Draft. This team's not short on talent as Andre Johnson showed in this game with 13 receptions for 154 yards, but they may need a new head coach and quarterback moving forward.

Thanks for joining our commentary this morning. We'll be back with all the action on Sunday with our comprehensive NFL coverage. Until then, goodbye.
