Manning: "I certainly want to continue playing"

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has revealed that he still wants to "continue" playing next season even if he wins his second Super Bowl next week.

Reports suggested that the 37-year-old was thinking about quitting the game due to his neck problems, for which he had four surgeries in 2011 that kept him out for that season.

However, he has insisted that he is not calling it a day yet after a record-breaking campaign in which he threw for 55 touchdown passes and 5,477 yards.

Manning told reporters: "[I] really no plans beyond this game. I feel better right now that I thought I would coming off of that surgery. I certainly want to continue playing."

The 37-year-old has the chance to become the first starting quarterback to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy with two different teams when he and his teammates take on the Seattle Seahawks at MetLife Stadium.
