Manning breaks record as Broncos win

Peyton Manning threw four more touchdown passes to set a new single-season record of 51 this evening as the Denver Broncos brushed aside the Houston Texans in a 37-13 win.

The two sides exchanged field goals in the opening quarter, with Matt Prater's 32-yard kick being cancelled out by a 45-yard effort from Randy Bullock.

The first touchdown of the match went the Broncos' way right at the start of the second quarter as Manning fired a 36-yard pass down the middle to Demaryius Thomas.

Bullock reduced the deficit to four with a 35-yard field goal, but a pair of kicks from Prater in the final minute of the first half ensured that the Broncos took a 10-point lead into the break.

The Texans got their first touchdown of the match in the third quarter when Matt Schaub bided his time before looping a 15-yard pass over to Keshawn Martin at the back of the endzone.

The Broncos restored their 10-point advantage at the start of the fourth quarter as Manning found Eric Decker in the endzone for a 10-yard touchdown.

The same duo combined again midway through the quarter as Manning found Decker for a 20-yard touchdown this time, before the veteran quarterback broke the record with a 25-yard pass to Julius Thomas in the endzone to secure a comfortable win.
