Dallas Cowboys' Jerry Jones "surprised" by favourites tag

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has admitted that he is "surprised" that his side are favourites in their clash with the San Diego Chargers.

The Cowboys are 2-1 in their season going into their match against the AFC West side, who are 1-2 following their defeat to the Tennessee Titans.

"I'm surprised we're the favourite, being on the road," Jones told the club's official website.

"This team is getting better, and this team is better than the team we've had the last few years."

Dallas have not reached the playoff since the 2009 season.
