Jerry Jones: 'Tony Romo is the best in the fourth quarter'

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is adamant that his side have the best quarterback in the NFL in the fourth quarter in Tony Romo.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones believes that his side's quarterback Tony Romo is the "best in the business" in the fourth quarter of games.

Romo has carved out a reputation of throwing costly interceptions late in matches despite having a career passer rating of over 96.

However, he lived up to this negative billing two weeks ago when his late pick cost the Cowboys the NFL game against the Denver Broncos.

Despite that setback, Jones has confidence in his quarterback should his side be trailing late in the game.

"I'm expecting to win it," Jones said on radio station KRLD-FM. "I hadn't booked it, but we had 'em against Denver. And we've got a quarterback that's the best in the business in the fourth quarter. He's the best.

"He can make it happen when it's not there. Other than being ahead with the ball, there's no one I'd rather have at this time than to have Romo trying to get us down the field in a short period of time."

The Cowboys face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday as they vie to be top of the NFC East.
