Tony Romo confirms collarbone fracture

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has confirmed that he sustained a fractured clavicle in his side's win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The incident occurred in the third quarter when the 35-year-old was sacked by Jordan Hicks and Fletcher Cox, and he was forced to leave the field.

Romo had an X-ray and returned to the sideline in a sling, but revealed that his left collarbone was broken. The quarterback will undergo further tests on Monday to determine the length of his absence.

He told Fox Sports: "I'll be back. It's going to take a little bit of time. It's a broken bone. It is what it is."

Romo suffered the same injury in 2010 and was ruled out for the season.
