Cincinnati Bengals place Robert Geathers on injured reserve

The Cincinnati Bengals have placed defensive end Robert Geathers on their injured reserve list, ruling him out for the season.

The 30-year-old injured his elbow during his side's 20-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night at Paul Brown Stadium.

Geathers's injury was deemed serious enough by the club's medical staff to end his campaign after just two games, allowing the Bengals to replace him on their roster.

The Bengals face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
