Burnley boss Sean Dyche 'not interested in managing Aston Villa'

Burnley boss Sean Dyche is reportedly unwilling to drop down a division to manage Aston Villa and will therefore reject any approaches.

Sean Dyche is uninterested in the vacant Aston Villa managerial job and is happy to remain in charge of Burnley, according to a report.

The 45-year-old has emerged as the frontrunner to take over at Villa Park with many bookmakers following the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo earlier this month.

Di Matteo was dismissed just 124 days into his tenure after winning one of his first 11 games at the helm, leaving the Villans two points above the Championship relegation zone.

Sky Sports News claims that Dyche is unwilling to leave his position at a Premier League club to drop down a division, and will not consider any approach from the West Midlands outfit.

Former Hull City manager Steve Bruce has admitted to being interested in the job after holding talks with Dr Tony Xia last week, but the Villa owner is said to be weighing up his options before making a decision.
