Arda Turan 'set for Galatasaray loan'

Barcelona attacker Arda Turan is reportedly closing in on a loan move to former club Galatasaray.

Barcelona attacker Arda Turan is reportedly set for a return to former club Galatasaray on loan for this season.

The 30-year-old has failed to make an impact at Camp Nou since joining from Atletico Madrid two years ago, making 36 La Liga appearances and contributing just five goals.

Earlier this summer it appeared as if Turan was closing in on a move to Arsenal, although the player's agent subsequently rubbished the reports and insisted that he would spend this season in Spain.

According to Sporx, however, the former Turkey international is now heading for a return to Galatasaray, who have agreed a £2.2m deal with Barca to take him for the year.

Turan began his career with the Istanbul side and made 197 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 45 times.
