Suso turned down Champions League offers to stay at AC Milan

Suso hopes to sign a new long-term deal with AC Milan after turning down offers to join teams competing in the Champions League.

AC Milan midfielder Suso has revealed that he turned down three separate approaches from Champions League teams to remain at San Siro.

The 23-year-old has managed to get his career back on track in Italy following an unsuccessful spell with Liverpool, where he was restricted to just eight league starts upon graduating from the academy in 2012.

Suso, who was strongly linked with Tottenham Hotspur earlier this year, is now hoping to extend his stay with Milan despite some attractive offers from elsewhere.

"First of all I would like to thank the fans for their many messages," he told Sky Sport Italia. "I would like to let them know that we had an agreement in December and I have been waiting since.

"I spoke with [Milan general manager Marco] Fassone back then and he told me that there was no problem. I'm just waiting and continue to wait. They have my number and that of my agent. I've had three offers from clubs in the Champions League, but I want to stay here."

Former Spain Under-21s international Suso has spent the past two years with Milan, the first six months of which saw him loaned to Genoa.
