Great Britain lose 3-0 to Russia in sitting volleyball opener

Great Britain's Paralympic men have lost their opening sitting volleyball game to Russia 3-0.

The British side never really got off the mark in the preliminary Pool A contest, trailing 14 points to Russia's 25 in the first set.

Russia continued to dominate the contest by grabbing the second set 25-18, despite a fightback attempt by the host nation.

While Britain pushed on in the third set and almost caused an upset, Russia remained composed and managed to see off the contest with a 25-20 win.
