Bryony Page retains women's British trampoline title in Liverpool

Bryony Page retains her British trampoline title in Liverpool at the weekend by coming from behind on the final day.

British gymnast Bryony Page has expressed her shock after fighting back to retain her women's trampoline title at the Echo Arena in Liverpool at the weekend.

The 23-year-old trailed Kat Driscoll overnight before edging ahead with a score of 154.120 following her third and fourth routine on the final day.

"I'm really surprised as I made a few mistakes on day one but focused today on putting in a good routine and it worked, I'm so happy to be British Champion once again," said Page.

"I had nothing to lose with the final routine and I really focused hard on getting rid of any errors. This result means the world to me, and with the trials for the World Championships ongoing it should really help me.

"We have a very strong British team and just to make the lineup is tough which shows how much the sport is developing and how high the standard in this country."

Meanwhile, Lewis Bartlett scooped gold in the men's trampoline event with a score of 160.750.
