Great Britain pair miss out in S9 freestyle

The Great British pair of Louise Watkin and Lauren Steadman have failed to make the medals in the final of the S9 100m freestyle.

It was not a fairytale ending for South African swimming legend Natalie du Toit as she could only manage silver in her last ever race.

Du Toit's 1:03.45 was short of Australian Ellie Cole's Oceanic record of 1:02.77, with Spain's Sarai Gascon taking bronze with 1:03.62.

Watkin and Steadman finished fifth and eighth respectively.
