Matthew Whorwood wins the bronze medal in the 400m freestyle

Great Britain's Matthew Whorwood has won bronze in the men's S6 400m freestyle.

The 23-year-old came in behind world record holder Anders Olsson, who was second, and Darragh McDonald, who won gold for Ireland.

McDonald led from the front to take gold, with Olsson and Whorwood safely in medal positions throughout the race.

The Irishman was the only man to go under five minutes.

It is Ireland's second gold medal of London 2012.
