Sascha Kindred admits he could not have done any more after taking silver in the 200m SM6 medley.

Sascha Kindred has said that he his happy with his silver medal in the men's 200m SM6 medley.

Kindred, the world record holder heading into the final, lost to China's Xu Qing, who had to break the record to claim gold.

"That's what I wanted," he said. "I wanted to get a medal. A European record, a new personal best. I can't ask for more than that. It took a world record to beat me.

"Hats off to [Xu]. He came out and performed. I tried my best and it took that to beat me and I can't complain about that."

Kindred's time was also inside his previous record, but Xu smashed it by three seconds.
