Team GB's Jemma Lowe has earned a place in the women's 200m butterfly final at the Olympic Games in London.

The 22-year-old fought tooth and nail to clock up a time of 2:07.37, just enough to knock out Hungary's Katinka Hosszu and send her through as the eighth-fastest qualifier.

Kathleen Hersey of the United States is the one to watch in the final after she stormed through as the fastest qualifier with a time of 2:05.90.

Her compatriot Cammile Adams will join her in the last eight after she finished the race in 2:07.33.

China will also be represented in tomorrow evening's final by two swimmers, with Jiao Liuyang and Liu Zige both making the cut.
