Team GB swimmer Liam Tancock has said that he is looking forward to the next Olympics and insisted that he was pleased with his fifth-placed finish in the 100m backstroke final.
Tancock was comfortably beaten in the final but has made clear he wants to improve and still dreams of being the best in the world.
"I am pretty pleased, fifth against an absolutely world-class field. I had the crowd behind me and they really do make a massive difference," the Daily Mail quotes Tancock as saying.
"I'm not coming to London to just swim fast then retire. I want to look to the future, to Rio.
"There are millions of people in the world waking up having the same dreams as me of being the best in the world and unfortunately there is only one of those spots. Tonight [gold medallist] Matt Grevers did the job."
Tancock's personal best in the 100m backstroke is 52.73s.
